Peachtree Hills’ Lime Fresh Mexican Grill shutters
Quick-service Mexican restaurant calls it quits after less than 12 months in business.
Lime Fresh Mexican Grill has shuttered its Peachtree Hills location, a spokeswoman told What Now Atlanta in a statement Monday.
“Lime Fresh Mexican Grill has closed the location at Peachtree Hills (2140 Peachtree Road NW, Suite #209),” according to the statement.
Lime Fresh’s Peachtree Hills location was open for less than a year. The Mexican joint filed plans to replace Genghis Grill, at 2140 Peachtree Road, in February, 2012 and opened shortly after.
“Since its inception, Lime Fresh Mexican Grill has continuously delivered exceptional and notably lighter Mexican-style cuisine and scrupulous service at each location around the country. The ever-expanding fast-casual concept will continue to focus on fresh, made-to-order fare at both the Buckhead and Midtown locations…”
Lime Fresh’s Midtown location (in the former Bakeshop space) and its Buckhead location (in the former Johnny Rocket’s space), will remain open.
The Florida-based quick service restaurant has plans to open another location in the Atlanta area and will announce those details “at a later date.”

I had been a loyal follower of Lime’s locations in Miami for years and couldn’t wait until they opened in Atlanta. Sadly, every location in Atlanta sucks. Every time I’ve eaten there the food was bland and the quality is not at all what I’ve grown to love at their FL locations.
I would anticipate the rest of the locations will soon follow suit and close…especially the Midtown location. That one’s the WORST.

I’ve eaten at the Buckhead location, and I have to say I am not surprised by this news. No reason to go there when Chipotle, Moe’s, and Barberitos are all close by.

I’m hoping the location in midtown closes soon… I went when they first opened and the service was horrendous. Between two of us, we ordered four items. Three of the items they got completely wrong and one just never showed up. I went back to the counter to inquire about the missing order and was told it would be out shortly. When the item had still not arrived, I asked a MANAGER. His response was, “Did you let anyone know?” Really? I was too flabbergasted to respond kindly, so I told him to just refund us.
Yeah… the rest of these places can’ close fast enough in my opinion. Good riddance.

I’ve eaten twice at this location. This is not Peachtree Hills. It’s located in Brookwood Square, which is part of our Brookwood Neighborhood. The team that worked there were great, just nothing special about the food.

Are the locations franchised or company owned?
